WordPress Themes that are high resolution – ready for your Retina displays

Retina ready devices where introduced when the later generations of iPhones and iPads came out. What this meant was a higher pixel ratio of the display, making everything look sharper. It’s like watching Blu Ray – instead of regular DVD when it comes to movies. Naturally, websites had to step up. This meant serving up higher resolution images – so the visual effect in retina ready devices is equally as sharp.

WordPress themes are not an exception. Theme developers have followed today’s display standards, by creating some of the most visually appealing themes that money can buy. Check out this collection of WordPress themes that are retina ready

  • Hey thanks for sharing retina ready themes. However one thing i don’t understand. Are you supposed to use high quality images for retina ready? So that it looks good on bigger screens like that of a TV? or 21 inch monitor?

Isn’t the site going to slow down if we use bulky high quality images? Retina ready is at most times confusing. I see many sites that are sharp and crisp but aren’t retina ready?

Have you got any idea? Would love your inputs on this..

my opinion is that the only thing i think we need to do for retina ready is to use svg graphics. the higher res images from my testing did not make a dif to the avg eye unless you are zooming in on an image.
