24 Creative Websites Running on SquareSpace
Even though I’m a WordPress guy, I can’t help but try out other web content management systems. Open source, closed source, free and paid – there are countless platforms out there that all excel in one feature or another.
Although one system caught my eye. This one is by far one of the most advanced CMS I’ve seen so far.
Drag and drop abilities, in-page editing, modules, templates, analytics – just about everything an online publisher can ever want. The system is Squarespace. Squarespace is a hosted CMS solution that supports all that I’ve mentioned – and more. I tried it out, created a couple of pages, played with the back end and read up on it. I must say – I’m in awe.
But a review of Squarespace is beyond the scope of this post. You will have to check them out yourself. For now, take a look at these creative websites – all built using Squarespace:
Montessorium
Matt Odom
My Favorite Thing
Vision On
The Flash Bus
Mike Davis
Praise FM
Journey of the Universe
Stated Magazine
Monarchs
Brian Brushwood
Jeff Cannata
Salud Pediatrics

What would any of you suggest for a foundation website in the Trucking industry I am toying with Bedford, combo of Bedford and Mautauk or something different all together? Any Advice?
Squarespace is a good choice. If you want to create your own – look into WordPress.com as well.
Just created a new site for my restaurant in Cambodia using squarespace 6. http://www.alleycatcafe.biz
No offense but your site looks so amateur and lacks designer’s eye. This is what happens when Joe and Jane start “creating” and “designing” sites.
aww thanks! I made the monarchs site. The new site is http://www.fromceleste.com
Do you know any of the themes that people used? When I see a SquareSpace site that I like, I often can’t tell which template they use because they customize it so much.
Yes – you should check out part 2 of this post http://fearlessflyer.com/2013/08/creative-websites-squarespace-templates/ – I mention what theme they use in the article
I like this one, the design is really cool.

Just launched my website on Squarespace and couldn’t be happier with it – I am a serious technophobe so I found Squarespace to be super easy to use and create a nice looking website. Thanks for the round up of other sites – will check them out now!

Here is a great Squarespace 6 website by Fotio, a Chicago based photo booth business http://www.fotio.co
yes that’s a good one too.
This is a great list of sites. Have you checked out Squarespace 6? Great new developer tools that should continue to drive SS usage. Love that platform as it’s great to hand off to clients and the support they offer.
Thanks for including us!
